Does Mobmote work over the internet?
No, Mobmote operates only over your local network (LAN) for maximum speed and security. Your data never leaves your home network.
Is there an iOS version?
An iOS version is currently in development and will be available on the App Store soon.
Does it support macOS or Linux?
Support for macOS and Linux is planned for future updates. Currently, the server application is Windows-only.
Why can't I control some apps (like Task Manager) with the Microsoft Store version?
The Microsoft Store version runs restricted by default. To control elevated applications (like Task Manager or installers), you need to use the GitHub version of the Desktop Server. Once installed, open the Mobmote Desktop Settings and enable the 'Run as Administrator' option.
Can I customize the controls?
Yes! You can create custom macros and buttons to launch specific applications or perform keyboard shortcuts.
Can I transfer files between my phone and computer?
Absolutely. Mobmote's File Manager allows you to browse, manage (copy, move, delete, rename), and transfer files between devices instantly. You can also create folders and sort your files for better organization.
How does the Shared Clipboard work?
When you copy text, images, or files on any connected device, Mobmote automatically syncs it across all your other connected PCs and phones. This means you can take a screenshot on your PC and paste it directly into a chat on your phone instantly.
